Kathleen Chandler Wright better known as Kat, has worked in the music industry in artist managment for the past 6 years and worked with some of the biggest names in Rock and Country including My Morning Jacket, Good Charlotte, Alanis Morissette, LeAnn Rimes, Collective Soul, The Muzik Mafia, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Julianne Hough just to name a few. She was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Music Business, then moved to New York City and has lived in Nashville since 2005. In that time, she has planned numerous concerts, CD release parties, red carpets, showcases, video and photo shoots and other various charity and marketing events. Wright is a natural born planner and has a passion for music. She grew up singing in her church and community choirs and has performed at Carnegie Hall, the London New Years Day Parade and opened for Dolly Parton.
Over the last several years, Wright has helped launch new artists' careers and created marketing plans to reinvent established artists. While working at Scott Welch Management, she acted as day to day artist manager as well as marketing director and implemented brand marketing at South by Southwest, CRS, the GAC Country Christmas Tour and the Lynnyrd Skynnard Cruise. Kat has volunteered with several non-profit organizations and coordinated fundraisers for Musicians On Call and The ALS Association. After going out on her own, Wright has worked as the event coordinator for the Nashville Film Festival (www.nashvillefilmfestival.org) and with Music City Networks (www.musiccitynetworks.com) helping them put together the MCN Fan Club Concert Series during CMA Music Festival which is a week long event featuring top Country Artist fan club parties.
